There are a few reasons that your Currensea transactions are taking longer than usual to complete. The most common reasons are:
- The transactions were made over a weekend or bank holiday: As Currensea collects funds for transactions from your bank via Direct Debit, this process can sometimes be delayed when they're made over a weekend and/or Bank Holiday. Please see our article "Currensea Transactions - Bank Holidays and Weekends" for more details.
- We have been unable to collects funds for your transactions: Sometimes, our attempts to collect funds will not be successful if, for example, the Direct Debit link has been cancelled by you, or if there was insufficient funds in your linked account. If we've been unsuccessful in our first attempt to debit the funds, we will attempt to collect them again and this will extend the full collection process.
As the Direct Debit collection process is external to Currensea, we are not able to speed up the collection process for you. In some cases where we've been unable to collect funds for a transaction via Direct Debit, we may allow customers to transfer the funds via Faster Payment.
