Currensea collects funds for transactions you make via Direct Debits which generally take 2-3 working days to be collected and reflected in the “Available Now” section in your app. However, bank holidays and weekends aren’t counted as working days when banks process Direct Debits.
This means that, for example, if you were to make a transaction on Easter Friday (a UK bank holiday) then the 2-3 working day Direct Debit collection process wouldn't start until the following Tuesday, since Easter Monday is also a UK bank holiday and there was 2 weekend days in between. This may lead to the "Available Now" section in your Currensea app not being fully updated to reflect this transaction until the Thursday or Friday.
If you are worried that your Pending Transaction limit won't be large enough to accommodate this delay, then please contact our Customer Support team on help@currensea.com to request a Spend Limits increase. Please note that an increase is not guaranteed and various factors are taken into account when making a decision.
