You will need the Currensea mobile app to sign up and activate your Currensea card. You will also need it later on to authenticate online payments. If you don’t have the Currensea mobile app then we may send an SMS to your registered mobile for payment authentication. This isn’t always reliable if you are not in the UK so we strongly suggest you download the Currensea mobile app.
Furthermore, the Currensea mobile app is far more accessible when you are travelling and if you need to freeze your card (which you can do directly in the mobile app).
